Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), sometimes referred to as Acute Lung Injury (ALI) is a severe, life-threatening medical condition characterized by widespread inflammation leading to severe injury of the lungs.

Project Help was created to help patients and their families battling Sepsis and Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). Project Help promotes and educates the public about preventative measures relating to Sepsis and ARDS. In addition, Project Help is dedicated to improving the long term care of Sepsis and ARDS survivors, which is an area that is virtually nonexistent.
